Pritam Pany is a venture advisor and strategist with over 10 years in consulting, execution, and capital advisory. At Artha Dhaara Ventures, he partners with first-gen founders and MSMEs to build businesses via greenfield development, fundraising, and market expansion.

His expertise covers cleantech, pharma, circular economy, and manufacturing—leading GTM and digital strategy for a pharmaceutical equipment maker and lithium-ion battery recycler, raising capital for deep-tech startups, and supporting state solar and zero-waste initiatives. His dual builder-investor perspective offers rare operational and capital insight.

Before Artha Dhaara, he shaped Blume Ventures’ climate-tech thesis and worked at ZS Associates and JLL, advising Fortune 500s and governments on infrastructure and GTM. He also founded VOYAGE – Zero Waste Himalaya, partnering with the Indian Army and state bodies on circular economy projects.

An IIT Roorkee alumnus, he’s a CFA Level II candidate (Top 10%) and 50% merit scholar at ISB (on leave). Outside work, he’s a long-distance swimmer and Vipassana practitioner, recently completing a 1 km lake swim and training for open-sea endurance swims.

Brigadier (Dr.) D B Pany (Retd.) brings 30+ years of leadership in the Indian Army and corporate sectors, with expertise in HR, operations, manufacturing, infrastructure, strategy, and security. At Arthadhara, he advises on greenfield projects, land acquisition, R&R, stakeholder engagement, and integrated site development—focused on Eastern India’s industrial zones.

After his military career, he held senior roles at Jindal Steel & Power (JSPL) as VP – Administration, Group Head – Security, and VP – Liaison, CSR & Rehabilitation for Utkal Coal Mines. He led conflict resolution, secured regulatory clearances, and managed multi-stakeholder negotiations to de-risk projects.

He holds a PhD in Management, MBA in HR & Operations, and B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering. He is a certified Master NLP Practitioner, Life Coach, Hypnotist, NLP Modeller, and Conversational Reframer, blending technical and behavioral expertise.

A Fellow of IEI (FIE) and FIETE, he advises CHDNLR and regularly speaks at business schools and industry forums, offering thought leadership on leadership, policy, and performance.

What stage of businesses do you typically work with?
We work with post-idea stage startups and MSMEs—those who’ve begun execution and are seeking support with business planning, fundraising, GTM, or scaling operations. We do not engage at the idea or brainstorming stage.
Do you only work with Odisha-based companies?
No. While we are committed to strengthening Odisha’s startup ecosystem, we work with founders across India who are solving real business problems and are ready to execute.
Do you accept walk-ins or calls without an appointment?

Do you charge fees or take equity?
We work on a case-by-case basis. Our engagements may involve consulting retainers, success-linked fees, or equity, depending on the nature and duration of the project. As part of our venture studio, we also invest in projects which are aligned with our investment thesis. This will be discussed transparently during the evaluation process.
